Moments of interest

The performance of Nigel Gothard brings something out of the material but not enough to make this a worthwhile purchase. The very thing that Hazlett says in the introduction (that the short form allows a writer some freedoms that longer works deny) makes these of limited interest. They feel (and basically are) sketches of works and whilst there are moments that hold your interest there aren't enough to keep you involved.
