Actually Four and a Half for Provocative Stories

I love SF based on true scientific facts, questions, and puzzles that jumps into "what if" territory. Some call it hard SF, but this can be misleading as the category comprises some of the most speculative and moving stories ever. This anthology was a surprising collection of all new material (I usually avoid anthologies because I've read everything before). Personally I prefer the mesmerizing quality of a single narrator, but these readers blended well and didn't distract. Will read again--my highest praise.

Superfluous Words

Quite a few stories failed to seem plausible - just jargon, no substance. Maybe this is a danger of hard fiction.
Still, I enjoyed about 1/3.
