This story picks up after the events of The Wyrmling Horde and follows two of Farland’s well-known heroes, Borenson and Myrrima, on a quest to save their devastated land and the people of the new world from certain destruction. But the land is not the only thing that has been altered forever: In the change, Borenson has merged with a mighty and monstrous creature from the other world, Aaath Ulber.
He begins to change, becoming a berserker warrior with a huge new body. Thousands have died. Lands have sunk below the sea and, elsewhere, risen from it. If you could sum up Chaosbound in three words, what would they be?
It's excellent but...
What did you like best about this story?
That is was so exciting and pulled on into the moment.
Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Excellent as always. He truly holds the characters and story together.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Oh I laughed and cried in many places, especially at the deaths of so many characters. The pain of Fallion in the last book is multiplied in this story by all the horrible events taking place. When Mirama (sp?) died.
Any additional comments?
I hope the story really doesn't end here. I feel somehow cheated. I get the feeling that the author finished the book this way because of the death of his own wife of which I'm greatly saddened to hear. I understand there was a book 9 but it's been pulled for some reason and I guess I don't expect the series to continue as it may be to difficult for the author to do. He appears to have moved on to other stories.
