The orbiting Velvet Comet is the most luxurious and expensive brothel in the galaxy. It boasts casinos, elegant restaurants, a 2-mile-long upscale shopping mall, and highly-trained prostitutes of both sexes. And it has its share of enemies, including a leading religious figure who finds himself the center of a moral conflict he never imagined possible.

Adequate Resnick Fare
This audiobook was a disappointment for me after the quality of the first two instalments in this series. The problem with 'Eros Descending' is that there's no protagonist; the main character is unlikeable and I couldn't find him even slightly sympathetic. The secondary characters also felt like carbon copies of characters from the first two stories.
Whilst Resnick's writing is as good as always and the story well-constructed and appropriate for the theme, I just didn't enjoy the ending (despite seeing its necessity); it felt flat and anti-climactic and after not enjoying the book on the whole this was even more disappointing.
Every scene was enjoyable to the extent that the reader, Nancy Linari, did such a brilliant job and the author knows how to write good fantasy. But the best scene was in fact the very, very end with the introduction of a previously entertaining character (if only she had been brought in sooner and given more story).
