Firstly: the voices that the narrator chooses for the main characters is infuriating. secondly, the astartes make numerous stupid mistakes and oversights that I simply cannot believe that warriors who have fought in hundreds of wars could ever make. the primary example of this being where they totally miss that a battle has not happened ina place where they thought that it had. beyond this the plot is simply OK.
I personally wish that I hadnt used a credit on this.

I found the charachters in this story and infact the previous Dark Angel story to be abit whiney.
The timeline also seems off as they have been in the crusade for only 50 years yet they talk about countless battles like chapters that have been fighting for 200 years. This probably isnt going to be a story I wilm listen to a second time. One good bit about the book was abit or narrative about discovering the Lion and his early days.
This was a better Dark Angels book than the Decent of Angels. Unfortunately it leaves you hanging but in a good spot to help build suspense.
Surprising twist at the end. This one doesn't disappoint. Performance is very good as always.
