Very weird plot and bad narrator
The plot of this book went from ex-military rescuing a professors' lost son in the Himalayans to the professor not really having a son but being after a downed plane full of diamonds. How he knew about the plane/diamonds was never fully explained. Then there was a Yeti whose family was killed by....wait for it.......wait.....ALIENS! Yep. Aliens whose ship is hidden in a cave behind a portal building mechanical yetis which they ride in to control. These aliens have gotten pretty good at making these machines as they now have laser arm cannons. One of the ex-military and the last surviving real Yeti destroy a bunch of Mech Yetis and the portal saving the world. I had an extremely good laugh at several parts of this book because of it's ridiculousness. The narrator was awful too. He made Hastings sound perpetually pissed off and yelling all the time. He also made Noles, a woman, sound like some kind of sleazy creepy serial killer.
