accents
loved it but the accents need work , especially the Australian and Irish ones .

Brilliant
Fantastic story as usual. Loved to hear more of Chris and Co but it is great to have Declans story and powers unfolding. Have to say that the Australian accent was pretty rubbish ;) but that was my only nitpick!

Alright
This book is overall good, and the story is always outstanding. But it reads/sounds like a screenplay or script. (Maybe he was experimenting cause the next book was a whole better and how it should have been done with this one).
It would translate well on screen but not in a book. The constant switching of Chris and Declan POV didn't work well, in my opinion. (2 op main protagonists sharing the spot light) The action was good, though. and the ending was interesting.

As good as any in the series
As with all the other series it's a good little read with a nice new modern enemy. The writing is good, characters believable, the plot continues and the narrator will continue to mispronounce words (e.g. with other releases, the Irish "yeh" is always jarringly pronounced "yee", like an old timey pirate but luckily there's less of that in this one. Also for the love of God why is no one teaching American's how to pronounce gaping and winding? Fairly basic words, guys, this seems to be a recurring issue in American Audible books).
Anyway - overall just as good as all the others, with a little less Irish clichés.

The accents are eye-wateringly bad …
I thought that the Irish accents in the previous books were bad, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the series so far, so “what the heck” let’s just enjoy it … and then we get “Australian” and there’s nothing for it but to laugh out loud it’s so awful … man you are really crucifying it!
That said, I love this series, the wit within is excellent as are the characters, so I cringe and laugh and get past the accents.
I enjoy James Patrick Cronin’s narration, but I think that the series would’ve been improved by a supporting narrator who could fill in some of the more global characters.
Note to the narrator: While I haven’t seen the text, I’m guessing that John Conroe wrote “Ye” or “Y’” rather than “Yee” as in “What Ye looking at” … the Irish swallow the “e” and it becomes a short “You” without the “oo” sound. Dear God! Would it have been beyond reason to watch some RTE (Ireland’s national Channel) on YouTube before butchering the accents 😱😱😱
😳 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s still worth a credit, and I have the rest of the series already lined up in my library

Accents getting worse
I thought the Irish accent was bad, but I should have waited for the‘Australian’ one or is it Liverpudlian, or Welsh or Essex?
It’s getting very jarring.
