while the story was enjoyable to a fair degree, the actuall story is broken up frequently by intense bouts of story exposition. The writer does tell a compelly and interesting tale, having the readers on the edge of their seats a fair few times, this is ofset by the monotonous need to describe EVERYTHING in extreme detail.

If you could sum up Heirs of Empire in three words, what would they be?
THIS IS A VERY GOOD ADVENTURE STORY

THIS STORY IS FULL OF ADVENTURE AND THERE IS EVEN SOME TWISTS AND TURNS
Any additional comments?
I ENJOYED THIS BOOK SO MUCH I GOT THE SECOND BOOK AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT INSTALMENT
This is world building on Sanderson's level.
You connect to the main characters in the book and cheers them on. The title of the book is misguiding I think as the strong female main character only has a bi-role. There is things that is mysterious and ready for reviling in the sequels. I hope for that at least.

Story does not get going until chapter 8 or 9. Voice performance is lacking and is the drag on this new series. Very interesting world building and mythology being set up. I will purchase the next book in the series.
