Summary

This is a terrifying new short story from authors Stephen King and Joe Hill, brought to you as an audiobook original by sister publishers Orion and Hodder & Stoughton. As USA Today said of Stephen King's Mile 81: "Park and scream. Could there be any better place to set a horror story than an abandoned rest stop?"

In the Tall Grass begins with a sister and brother who pull off to the side of the road after hearing a young boy crying for help from beyond the tall grass. Within minutes they are disoriented, in deeper than seems possible, and they've lost one another. The boy's cries are growing more and more desperate. What follows is a terrifying, entertaining, and masterfully told tale, as only Stephen King and Joe Hill can deliver.

Read by Stephen Lang. Stephen Lang is known for his roles in the films Avatar, Tombstone, Public Enemies, Gods and Generals, and Last Exit to Brooklyn. His work on Broadway includes A Few Good Men, Death of a Salesman, The Speed of Darkness, and Hamlet. On television, he has appeared on Terra Nova, Crime Story, and The Bronx is Burning.

Typical SK

Typical short story by SK with another horror writer JH. I enjoyed this story but thought it was cheeky to release this alone therefore giving very little for your money considering most short stories come in at least 4s and you would never buy a short story alone but I had to have it.

A sea of grass and one stone

A nightmare well told and held with utmost cruelty, ancient blood rituals that we love to peek at but from the safety of a home well light and silent but not so silent that all the creeks or are they steps become evident.
Enjoy if that is your pleasure.

I'm buying a lawnmower...

I might be one of only a few people who hasn't read any Stephen King novels or Joe Hill novels for that matter. Naturally I've seen plenty of film adaptions of his books. This is my first and was a nice intro. The story is a little odd but then I expected that. Creepy in all the right places.

So eerie!

Really enjoyed it. I watched the film on netflix and decided I'd check it out . I laughed and I cried, in the end, I was left with a haunting feeling.

No real ending?

Feels half baked. no real conclusion. could have been good if expanded upon as its got some creepy ideas.

But i did laugh a lot when a little girl charecter spoke and sounded ike Shaggy. 5 stars to the narrator for the lols.

Bit confusing

Forth chapter seems to be confusing. A bit more explanation would have been better .

Amazing story, boring narrator

I loved the story, I'm a big fan of Stephen King. I didn't like the narrator, especially when he tries to impersonate the child. Boring and with an annoying American accent.
