Summary

It only took an instant for the world to come crashing down.

The bombs came first, and the troops were close behind. Life in the dream that was America ceased when a deadly new alliance of communist states from Russia, China, and their allies invaded from the North.

The invasion splits Brad Stone's family apart. His wife, Youngmi, is captured and exploited by Alaska's new communist warlord. What if,,,

A believable account of the takeover of western civilisation, the rise of defiance in spite of the odds. although I wanted to see where the rest of the world was I enjoyed the focus Basil put to his localised resistance. Incorporating Icehammer and book 2 invasion, I felt I was part of the action. With Basil being the author and narrator, I felt lead to a more rounded narration, let’s face it who better to tell the story than the story writer.
