Publisher's Summary

We were prepared for an earthquake. We had a flood plan in place. We could even have dealt with zombies. Probably. But no one expected the end to be quite so…sticky…or strawberry scented.
Yahtzee Croshaw (Mogworld, Zero Punctuation Reviews) returns to audiobooks with a follow-up to his smash-hit debut: Jam, a dark comedy about the one apocalypse no one predicted.

I hated almost every character...

What made the experience of listening to Jam the most enjoyable?

Yahtzee's voice, I don't know what it is, it just ooze's sarcasm, the type of sarcasm I like.

Would you be willing to try another book from Yahtzee Croshaw? Why or why not?

Definitely, already looking to give Mogworld a listen.

Which character – as performed by Yahtzee Croshaw – was your favourite?

Probably "Y" as he was an absolute badass and I actually rooted for him to kill all of the main characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I didn't have a spare 16 straight hours.

Any additional comments?

Weird one this book because I liked the overall story, the idea of how society can decay so quick after an event such as this one, but I found that I hated almost all of the main characters.

Travis - Just a weedy little coward, you're meant to root for this guy but I found him VERY annoying.
Tim - Sounded like he had a stroke, whenever Yahtzee did it voice I found myself grinding my teeth.
Don - Just an absolute a-hole. I was hoping he was dead by the end of the book but then the biggest disappointment ever, he wasn't.
Angela - Annoying throughout the whole thing.

No one I wanted to root for apart from Y and that was because he's your typical American muscle head, X was funny at times with her bad lying but that gets tiresome after awhile.

All in all it was a good listen but not one I'd ever listen to again.
