Summary

Sidelined demon summoner Kara Gillian has her hands full when dimensional rifts allow demons to cause widespread panic and destruction on Earth. These aren't the human-tolerant summonables she's known before, but demons from the far reaches of the demon realm. Add three demonic lords with conflicting ambitions to the mix, and Kara has the perfect recipe for global disaster.

Really Enjoyed this one

Another leap in a different direction. This one much less dark and therefore (for me) more enjoyable than its predecessor.

The series has come a long way from the detective solving crime stories of the first books and is now about Kara and her posse saving the world.

Quite a few new characters and we learn a lot more about the demon realm and the history of the Demonic Lords.

Good story in its own right but also sets up for the next book, which I believe will be the series finale.

I found this one hard to put down

Liv Anderson as perfect a narrator as you could wish for for these books!

Now just have to wait for Diana to write "Rise of the Demon" to see what happens next.

Enjoyed the earlier books

I really enjoyed the early books but as they have gone on she is less of a cop and the stories have got more convoluted ..... still quite fun though. This last one was a struggle, so many characters added it is difficult to keep track as to who is doing what where and to whom. By the end she is throwing everything into the mix! I stopped caring and just wanted to get to the end to see what happened. Not sure I will buy any further episodes it's all getting really silly, even for fantasy books.
