Publisher's Summary

On the world of Colchis, mighty religions rule a decaying society in the name of absent gods - until the arrival of Lorgar. Primarch, prophet, leader of destiny, the Golden One is raised by Kor Phaeron, priest of the Covenant, to be his weapon in a quest for power.
As religious war spreads across the planet, spearheaded by the Brotherhood of Lorgar, the primarch is plagued by visions of the future and the coming of the Emperor. To find his place in this new order, he must reach balance between the teachings of his adopted father, Kor Phaeron, and the fate that he knows awaits him among the stars.

well read and good story from the beginning.
tells the whole story from being found as a child up to being found not like the other primach books that I was hoping would be more like this one.

More about Kor Phaeron

This is a solid book, very reminiscent of Biblical stories (as you might expect from the Word Bearers), especially Moses, and a little bit of David (of David v Goliath, fame).

The story revolves around Kor Phaeron as much as it does about Lorgar; how he found him and treated him as a child, and ow that plays on his mind as Lorgar is older and leading his legion.

Don’t expect too much action, as it’s about the developing faith and relationship of Lorgar and Kor, and the power dynamic between a Demi God and a demagogue.

Jonathan Keeble is on form as always!
