Great story, unbearable narration.

Would you try another book written by Robert Asprin or narrated by Noah Michael Levine?

I've enjoyed the previous books in the series, the narration is overall very good.

How could the performance have been better?

An otherwise good story made to awful to listen to by the narrator's inability to pronounce "djinn" (one of the characters is a Djinn and the word crops up a lot . Variations on djinn are used in the wordplay).

Hearing the the narrator repeatedly pronounce it as if it were two words ("Dee-Jin") despite the rather obvious clue in the story that it sounds like "gin" (as in "Djinn rummy" or "gin rummy") just made it too jarring to listen to for any longer.

Did Mythnomers and Impervections inspire you to do anything?

This recording inspired me stop it playing and delete it, I'm afraid.

I tried, but I couldn't listen to that mangled pronunciation any longer.

Any additional comments?

By all means read the book - the story is as good as any in this series, but do yourself a favour and avoid this volume of the audiobook unless it gets rerecorded after the otherwise excellent narrator is taught to pronounce key words correctly (why someone didn't correct him during the recording - or when the word cropped up once in one of the previous books in the series - I don't know).
