Summary

There's guerrilla warfare in the main asteroid belt. The Red Houzi pirates have launched a deadly campaign, sacking defenseless mining colonies and then vanishing into the deep dark of space. No one can predict where or when they will show up next, not even the great Mars Protectorate Navy.
Liam Hoffen and Nick James have returned from their last encounter grateful to be alive, but wondering what they'll do next. Sterra's Gift is nothing more than a broken heap, strapped to a pile of ore. Replacing their beloved ship is hopeless - or so they think until a crazy old man introduces them to an old British warship named Hotspur.
News of Red Houzi attacks near Colony 40 spurs Liam and his crew into action and they set off on a desperate race to save their families. But, what can one ship possibly do against an entire fleet? They'll put everything on the line, but the question is - will it be enough?

Such a good listen

This series is so addictive I am finding it increasingly difficult to put the book down.

Just when you think it can't get any bigger

Another great story from the Privateer serries.

What to do when you are left with no choice, Liam steps up to the plate again.

A great listen.

Too good to miss!!!

Jamie McFarlane has crafted Privateer Tales into a brilliant series about life aboard a merchant vessel(s). Not boring ho-hum merchant, but the type that gets into a fair amount of scraps with rascally pirates. The character development is smart and funny to the point the characters seem like great friends. Mikael Naramore does a fantastic job of narrating to the point I can’t imagine someone else in the role. This is probably my 3rd or 4th time listening to the series and it doesn’t disappoint. If you want space drama you need this book, and all the rest in the series. I am in no way paid to say this, I’m just a huge fan!

Roger that

Good old-fashioned space opera with all the right payoffs.

Two complaints, though: 1) the author needs to learn what the word "roger" means in the piloting arena. It doesn't mean what he thinks it means. and 2) HUD. It's not aitch-you-dee, it's hud, rhyming with "mud".
