Summary

For the Ai-Naidar, a species of slim, gracile aliens, caste and tradition are not the shackles that imprison the spirit but the silences that make sense of the music of their lives. The Aphorisms of Kherishdar collects 25 short tales about what it is to have an Ai-Naidari soul: to find comfort in tradition, law and structure; to revere interdependence over individualism; to know one's place... to always have one.

New Territory

I have been follow the stories of Kheridhdar for sometime. I have this in book form and have read it to the point of falling apart. So I was very excited to find out about the audiobook.
Daniel Dorse is fantastic as the main character. He has the right breathy cadence for the Calligrapher. Even though I have read the stories many times, this audiobook makes them fresh and exciting for me again.
I look forward to more books from M.C.A. Hogarth and Daniel Dorse.
