Summary

After narrowly escaping Rogue City, Ben travels north into the Deschutes Territory in hopes of finding sanctuary, if only for a little while. His respite is brief and his hunters are persistent. Within a few days he's on the run again.

Ben must negotiate the desert, the underground, and the unknowable perils of magic if he is to recover the Dragon's Codex, the only known book of magic in the world, and his best hope for finding a way to stand against the wyrm.

Addictive

It is hard to stop listening to this book, especially at the end of a chapter. Assuming you have already listened to the first book an you enjoyed it, keep going, it's well worth it.

A very good read

Book two continues the story and introduces new characters. By the end of the book I thought there was too many characters and that spoiled it a little. Although overall it was still fast paced with a decent story there was several times when it became a little too "samey" and I found my mind wandering, which, with this book was no good as new characters were popping up to often and I had to rewind to find out who they were for it all to make sense.

great story

great story of the fantasy kind mixing sci fi and fantasy in a clever way. It's more fantasy than sci fi which I enjoyed .over all a real great book, but the one thing I will say is I wish the word "said" could have been replaced occasionally.

Excellent Listen

Very enjoyable, the characters develop throughout the series and a plot that races along and impels you to get the next in the series.

Book 2

Continued to be enthralling. Great story well told. Cliffhanger finish. Desperate to start next book.

A dragons revolt

A good car book easy to follow, put down and pick up again. Nice plot twists. Downer is you get into the series and have to wait but will listen to it again before the next book.

Much Better in this Book

I enjoyed book one enough to give book two a chance and I am glad I did, the story and characters expand greatly, it is filled with so much action and well thought out plots plus the progression of the tech and magic left me on the edge of my seat

I definitely recommend reading this book ☺
