At 17 years old, Mattie Hathaway has survived her mother attempting to kill her, multiple foster homes, and a serial killer. Oh, and she sees ghosts on a regular basis too. You’d think Fate would give her a break right? Umm…nope, not Mattie.
Dan Richards is the only person in the entire world Mattie trusts, but then the boy goes and breaks her heart. Mattie does what she does best, she runs and lands herself slap in the middle of a haunted house full of ghosts turned vengeful that want Mattie to join their ranks.
Only bright spot on all this? Eli Malone - the gorgeous boy with the beautiful aqua eyes that makes her feel things she’s never even imagined before. She’s not sure what to do with him, especially when Dan shows up glowering at him.
She’ll figure Eli out if she can survive the house. The ghosts are bound and determined to kill her so she’ll be one of them. Now if she can just figure out how to survive them and the demon stalking her, she might be able to decide what to do about her feelings for Dan and Eli.
That is if she can survive the night in the house.

Really loving this author & Mattie's story

What did you like most about The Ghost Files, Book 2?

I love the continuation of Mattie's story, I feel there's still more to come especially now the creepy Silas has been revealed. I want to find out more about Eli and his family too. Dan seems a bit boring in comparison.

Which character – as performed by Elise Randall – was your favourite?

Mattie as she's still a gripping honest likeable character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I kept finding times to plug in so I could see what happened next

Any additional comments?

When's the next one in the series? I was worried the change of narrator from the first book would be jarring or I wouldn't love it as much. But thankfully although slightly different it still had the same vibe.

The story great - the narrator, horrid.

Someone needs to tell the narrator that narration isn't a race. Slow down and your narration won't suck.

Too scary to listen to in the dark !

Would you listen to The Ghost Files, Book 2 again? Why?

Yes ....because there are probobly some details I missed because I was SO incredibly spooked the first time around. Lol

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Ghost Files, Book 2?

I am still listening but this is the 2nd book in the series .
At first you are just listening and it all seems a bit mundane, interesting ...but then something will happen in the story that is so scary you are frightened to be alone . I don't want to spoil the story for anyone but there are a few pages that jump out at you.
I am not a kid , I have kids of my own , and I love tv shows like Ghost adventures and the Dead Files , and I enjoy a good thriller....but THIS is an unexpected and frightening series ! I love it but I would NOT recommend to younger teens.

What three words best describe Elise Randall’s performance?

A bit fast

If you could take any character from The Ghost Files, Book 2 out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Mattie - the main character.
Because she has gone through so much and she stays so strong but still she is incredibly vulnerable. You can't help but admire her.

Any additional comments?

Please continue the series. I am addicted!
But a caveat , it is highly violent and very spooky and as I said before it is more of an older teen or even an adult series even though the characters are teens and young adults for the most part.
If it was a movie it would be rated R 17 just to give you an idea.
