Chilly

Short story, sent shivers down my spine. Narration was also good. Enjoyed it a lot

Brilliant short story

Only 27 minutes long, so I bought this one rather that use a credit. A great listen, although rather predictable......good fun.

A good little bedtime story

Having done a few ghost walks this story brought a smile to my face. Wandering around in the cold and rain! Never had this experience though.

Lovely little tale.

Matt Haig is a wonderful writer, this book is aimed at children and young adults but that doesn't mean it's not a thoroughly enjoyable read for all ages. Lovely descriptions of the city of York, makes me want to visit again!

A sweet little ghost story

I purchased this short story to feed my Matt Haig addiction. (After having read The Humans and The Radleys). Although this is essentially for children it is still a poignant and genuinely creepy tale that can be enjoyed by young and old alike. Perfect for winter listening.

OBVIOUS & NOT SCARY

Very disappointing. Obvious & not at all scary nor atmospheric.
The children found it boring so we sent it back.

Disappointing

This could have been a really good, spooky and creepy book. York is a great setting for a ghost story since its full of history. Unfortunately I'd guessed the ending within the first few minutes. It was generally well written and well performed but the story itself let it down as it lacked originality.
