Publisher's Summary

Zeke is a homeless guy with an exotic metal plate in his head, living rough in a backstreet. Zirkos is an alien who needs the plate to rebuild his ship's AI. Zirkos should just take the plate and go, but instead finds a way of achieving his own ends without harming Zeke. His actions kickstart a chain of events that will dramatically change the course of Earth's future. The Nubl are an artificial space-faring race with a 'hive' intellect who abhor biological sentience. They will eradicate humanity with extreme prejudice. Together Zeke and Zirkos have to find a way of preparing the planet Earth for their arrival and discover a way to defeat them. No easy task especially with their own homegrown megolomaniac attempting to overthrow everything they have already achieved.

Sorry, Really bad regional accent ruins it

The write up made this an audio book to try so I did so. Really bad regional accent does this story no justice.
The writing leaves something to be desired even though I only got 10 minutes in before I had to stop listening, I could not continue listening to the voice.

Probably a good story on Kindle which I also got so might try reading instead.

Did like the interaction between the age old pattern ship, its occupant and a "down-and-out" rising above the world government order.

Relaxing to listen to - very good reader.
