Summary

Kendro, King of the Aonise, can do nothing to prevent their sun from collapsing, consuming their home planet, Letháo, in a single fiery blast. Running out of time and options, he evacuates the entire population, setting off into the unknown galaxy in four crowded ships. Under constant danger from their ancient enemy, the Zefron, treasonous dissent seeps into his inner circle. Threatened inside and out, Kendro struggles with whom to trust, until a mysterious vision finally brings hope to the distraught king. A new home awaits the Aonise - if Kendro can only unite them long enough to survive the journey.

A great start of a sci fi series

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I thought this was a fantastic start of a sci fi series. The story is fast paced and a delightful blend of action and intrigue. The author does a great job of world/character building. The narrator, too, did a great job on bringing the book to life. I will definitely look for more in this series.

A great read / listen

Dawn Chapman has created a fully formed world and for a few short hours you can inhabit it with her. Greg Tremblay's performance is exceptional and he brings her creation to life in a way that insinuates itself into your brain. Highly recommended!
