Publisher's Summary

Sequestered in the blackness of the dreaded Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas, surrounded by nameless creatures of evil, Raistlin Majere weaves a plan to conquer the darkness - to bring it under his control.
Crysania, a beautiful and devoted cleric of Paladine, tries to use her faith to lead Raistlin from the darkness. She is blind to his shadowed designs, and he draws her slowly into his neatly woven trap.
Made aware of Raistlin’s plan, a distraught Caramon travels back in time to the doomed city of Istar in the days before the Cataclysm. There, together with the ever-present kender Tasslehoff, Caramon will make his stand to save Raistlin’s soul.
Or so he believes.

Riveting

Once again Krynn comes to life and much loved characters are brought back to life by the skilled penmanship of Weis and Hickman. Beautiful storytelling and sheer escapism. Now we see the fiery cataclysm in all its fullness.

PLEASE! Remake this Audible book with Paul Boehmer

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I've very rarely write reviews, unless I feel very passionately about something...

And I'm not going to slate the performance. it's time to move on...But it's blatantly obvious that the performance of Paul Boehmer in the Dragonlance Chronicles is so utterly outstanding, that it does the Legends series a cataclysmic injustice not to be performed by Paul Boehmer.Come on Audible please! put all us Dragonlance fans out of our misery...Record it using Paul Boehmer and I vow I'll buy it again!

What did you like best about this story?

The Story is perfect as is, it needs performing by Paul Boehmer. And I say 'performing' not 'narrating'. This isn't a scientific journal imparting cold dry facts. It's meant to be an engaging performance immersing and entertaining the Audience in a similar way a film would in a cinema. were not asking for dolby 5.1 and sound effects but just to be read with some who clearly has a passion for the books the characters (and thier correct pronunciation) and the ability to vocalise individualised voices for the different characters.

How could the performance have been better?

After each re-reading both in either book or audible form, you see new layers to the characters and thier interactions with each other. And as your perspective changes as you get older, your view of thier desires, morals and reasoning changes. And it gives you a new perspective to the story, making it slightly different with each reading.I think that is why it is my most read and re-read book series by far.

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

If Paul Boehmer performed it, it will be perfect!
