Not too impressed with this book. Storyline good but so drasn out and ..... no infuriatingly tames ages to get on with the story. I was very bored and kept fast forwarded the book many times.
I'll write this for entire trilogy. You can read book 1 through 3. But there was 1 thing : Deus ex machina" like event through out the entire series (yes I don't mean time traveling). Book 1 was ok (few or none ) book 2 (several "deus ex" like events) book 3 "deus ex machina" on the bigger scale (plot impact I mean). You may still like the series itself (story is ok, characters are ok - every thing is ok.... but not great and solutions that "save the day" ... could be more subtly introduce into story or better justified.
This is an excellent series. The science while arguable is very well and consistently presented. Very good characters and an excellent ending to the series that places it well into true SciFi instead of just a military series that happens to be in space.
Well Done Nick Webb!!!
I look forward to what you give us next.

This author has become one of my favorites! He tackles some heady concepts such as the nature of a singularity, the usefulness of antimatter, the possibility of time travel (with or without the “grandfather paradox”), and the possibility of the existence of multiple universes. He adds to that plenty of intrigue, betrayal, desperation, and heroism in the face of impending doom for the human race.
Not one of his books has disappointed me yet. And kudos, too, for Greg Tremblay’s flawless narration!
