Summary

War pigs. Road savages. And the crumbling asphalt of the open highway.
After nearly four years, the zombie epidemic has almost burnt itself out. Gus' new life on a communal farm is peaceful. The daily routine of policing the fields is rarely disrupted by straying undead. His drinking binges are over. Long days have thrown time over the memories of Annapolis. But this will all change.
When Gus is asked to search for a group of missing scavengers, he reluctantly agrees. What he finds is a new predator unleashed upon the land, one determined to harvest every last mortal life.... And feed it to a ravenous machine.

Best in the series

What did you like most about Well Fed?

I love the mountain man books and this book in my opinion the best of the lot.

What other book might you compare Well Fed to, and why?

If you liked the others in the series you'll love this.

What does R.C. Bray bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The usual high quality narration. Bray is Gus.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh yes. Brays performance and quality writing let to some smiles.

Any additional comments?

If your thinking about getting any of the books in this series stop thinking and start at the beginning. You'll be hooked.

Didn't think it could get any better!!

Not even finished reading Well Fed and I am ready to rave about it. Gus is back and kicking butt as usual (yeah!) but the other characters from zombies, bad guys, and women that kick butt...Let me just say the author out did himself. I didn't know things could get any worse at the end of the world but they can! From humor, horror, and tears, everything I look for in a story Keith Blackmore gave it and more. The narrator handles every character's voice very well whether male or female (how does he do that?) This series is at the top of my list with The Remaining, and the Joe Ledger series. I went though a lot of bad reads before I finally discovered this one. Let me just say it was more than worth it.
