Summary
Within a maze of true crime books that tend to provide only minor portions of the whole story, Serial Killers 101 provides a much more detailed and comprehensive insight into the world of some of the most infamous serial killers in American history.
From their births to childhoods to teenagers to adults, this book examines the whole story of each serial killer. Profiled here are:
- Ted Bundy - the man who gave life to the term serial killer
- The "hands of death", Henry Lee lucas and Ottis Toole
- Born-again killer David Berkowitz
- And many more
Also included in the second half of the book are in-depth interviews with the killers - some of which were their final interviews before their executions.

Graphic
Some extremely grisly and horrendous descriptions of the murders in this book, not for those who have a weak stomach! While the interviews are interesting (taken verbatim from various other sources) there is very little exploration of the psychology behind the murderers themselves or the motivating factors behind their psychopathy. I didn’t find much here that I didn’t know already but that said it is well written and narrated.
