"I was 22 years old, a hard-on with a pulse: wretched vice-ridden, too much to burn and not enough minutes in a hour to do so. 1995 was a full 365-day year of drinking, fucking, lying, raging and exploration for me - not a dull one in the bunch. It was a time of self-shit: self-importance, self-absorption, self-indulgence and selfishness. I was the only person in the known galaxy and I wanted what the fuck I wanted sooner rather than later."
The action begins in West Des Moines, Iowa, where Corey Taylor, frontman of Slipknot and Stone Sour, systematically set about committing each of the Seven Deadly Sins. He has picked fights with douche bags openly brandishing guns. He has set himself on fire at parties and woken up in dumpsters after cocaine binges. He lost his virginity at eleven. He got rich and famous and immersed himself in booze, women, and chaos until one day he realised, suddenly, that he didn't need any of that at all.

An excellent listen...
An excellent listen. I've been a big fan of Corey's since I was just a kid. I wasn't sure what to expect, listening to this book. But I found myself nodding along with much of what was said.
I plan to read his others, following this.

Thought provoking but not for the faint hearted!
An intelligent and extremely well written personal view on the 7 deadly sins delivered in a way that only Corey Taylor could deliver himself. Interspersed and illustrated by personal experience and autobiographical anecdotes, Corey takes us through the outdated 7 deadly sins and puts his case forward convincingly as to why each is no longer a sin in these modern times. The language is strong and passionate throughout and no prisoners are taken with some graphical and disturbing tales from those harder times in Corey's life but this book is also an eye-opener to an extremely talented and gifted musician and poet who came from nothing and had no chance but somehow defied the odds.

A beast unleashed
In this audiobook Corey Taylor, The frontman of bands Slipknot and Stone Sour, brings his views into why we should drop the old "Seven Deadly Sins", and start to use new ones. For any fan of the pre-mentioned bands, this is a must have audiobook. Not only are these his own words, but he narrates the book himself. Since downloading this book, I have listened to it twice, on my Windows Phone.

Amazing book
a must read or listen. i love how brutally honest Corey is and love that he narrated this himself. its the first of his books iv read and im deffo reading more. Thanks Corey you legend x

Very entertaining

Very honest! Loved the honesty in this book. I'm Not very clued up on Corey Taylor, but loved him in this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this Audible book
Have wanted to read this for ages, but considering there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day, jumped at the opportunity to listen to this on Audible. It was really good & I could listen to Corey Taylor for hours.
