Life saver

This is honestly the first book on anxiety that genuinely provides tips and talks you through anxiety without coming of as condescending. I will be re listening again. I feel like I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel

Great book

I listened to this book over the course of a few months and enjoyed it alot. It's especially helpful at times when anxiety is at its highest, and can be a bit like having an emergency therapist in your pocket. When times were good I didn't listen to it so much, but I imagine if I did, it would have reinforced me even more.

Would you listen to Social Anxiety again? Why?

The whole book was much better than i expected as for once a book in this genre actually felt realistic, and was clearly written by someone who really understand how it FEELS to be socially anxious and/or shy. I am finding this an incredibly helpful book and Im already on my 3rd listen of it.

Feels like a breakthrough for me, excellent book

Any additional comments?

Feels like (after many years) i am having a breakthrough with dealing with my social anxiety and also with my shyness. So many books read like medical journals or worse they are endless lists of exercises and tests - this book was different. It got to the point quickly and allowed me to implement the tips and to, day by day, breakthrough the cycle of social anxiety.

This book was recommended to me and now I am passing on that favour. Personally it really does feel like a major breakthrough for me.

A Complete Life Changer

What made the experience of listening to Social Anxiety the most enjoyable?

Listening to this book honestly changed the way I think about social anxiety completely. It covers all the bases - everything from protecting yourself online to coping with and preventing panic attacks - but there's something about it that's just different from other audio books on this subject. The tone of the book is comforting and conversational. You really feel like the writer is on your side, propelling you forward. Rarely have I experienced anything like that with another author.

What did you like best about this story?

This book really offers a fresh and current take on social anxiety. It's really engaging and insightful. Unlike other books of its kind which can be boring and repetitive, this book offers new approaches and a better understanding of social anxiety.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Absolutely. I'm not the type of person that's crippled with social anxiety. I can go out with my friends and pretend I'm okay most of the time. But I've always felt apprehensive about socialising and I've had more than a few panic attacks in my life. One thing that really stood out for me (and did make me tear up) were the case studies. In this book, there are accounts of other people who have struggled with, and overcome, their social anxiety. I found them all very moving and motivating.

Any additional comments?

If you have social anxiety to any degree, I really think this book will be a great help. It's a masterpiece in this field and I honestly think it will be the best book of its kind for years to come. Highly recommend!

Something that really works!

Where does Social Anxiety rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of my favourites and definitely my favourite for the self-help type

What other book might you compare Social Anxiety to, and why?

Umm not sure because unlike other books, this one actually worked and was actually helpful!

Which scene did you most enjoy?

??

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

??

Any additional comments?

Suffered from shyness and social anxiety for much of my teenage and adult life and i have tried everything from hypnosis to numerous books. This one was different. It had actual advice I could follow. Am i totally cured? No of course not, it is not that simple but i am a LOT better and feel i get better every single day. Narration was good but at times her voice could be a tad irritating.

Overall an excellent and very helpful book.

Great read

Would you listen to Social Anxiety again? Why?

Yes I surely will, when I will feel low, broken or when I start to feel the social anxiety all over again.

Any additional comments?

I am really glad I purchased the audible version too, I did kindle too. The kindle version shared the same and was really effective I really started talking and gaining confidence but one bad experience recently ruined all what I gained, so opted for the audible version. It is no less effective thank you Jenifer and Rebekah you the most. Her narration made it really easy for the listeners to understand it all. She was commanding when it needed to be determined. She was soft when it was the time for her to be calm and motivating. I think she did perfect, no one else would have done the same like here. The author and narrator both were straight forward what to do, how to make it upto your self. How to gain what you lost, how to speak, how to be proud of yourself. Excellent read.
