Too much promotional content !
It's ridiculous the first 5 chapters of this book was spent on promotions- referencing to websites to for 2 for 1 deals, etc. It sets things off not so great as you are spending time listening you promotions which is not what you pay for, it feels like you just subscribed to infomercials. They also finish the book off the same as well so you only get a little bit of the middle content which is good, though this is the first book I personally did not like the narrator he sounds like a clown. This could also be the fact that the 5 chapters in the beginning spent on purely just promotions unrelated to this book made me resistant to it already. There's other short version summaries of this book I highly suggest to buy instead just for this fact.

Skip chapters 1-4
Ads/acknowledgments/and sales make up the first four chapters (1/3 of the book). It was incredibly confusing and frustrating to have paid for such a choppy summarization of the book. I actually looked to see if I could return for a credit, but read a comment that said there was a jewel stuck in the middle there somewhere, and decided to push forward. Once you get to chapter 5 or 6, it gets great. Worth the read and you don’t have to listen to Hal Elrond drone on about his life which was indeed inspiring, but not applicable to my life.
