A powerful, tender story of race and identity by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the award-winning author of Half of a Yellow Sun.
Americanah explores the effects of American culture on the lives of Africans in the United States. The author discusses racial and ethnicity issues through Ifemelu and Obinze. The two young Nigerians discover how emotions and relationships become even more complicated as they experience it as Africans in an open society such as the United States and more importantly how they are permanently changed by these experiences.

Initially, I could not imagine a book as detailed and rich as Americanah being reduced to a 30 minute summary. I was quite surprised to find out that a good, brief summary really does exists. The audio introduces the main theme of many of the chapters.
