Summary

not a patch of the Harry Qubert affair
Pedestrian and lacking any twists or turns. it's a pleasant amble through a park, all the items meant to excited are signposted so obviously you're left straining for a surprise that never comes.

In one word, captivating.
A captivating and extremely well written piece of literature. The authors timeline and oustanding character building allows the reader to delve into the world of his words and will have you listening into the late hours of the night. Great read and I highly recommend it!

AMAZING !!!
don't write audible reviews and after 5 years of a book a month on audible this has to be one of the best books both for writing and more importantly the narrator. I loved every minute if it so well told I was addicted to it...even listening at work ha ha

Superb!
Having listened to and thoroughly enjoyed Joel Dicker's previous book The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair, I was eager to discover if he would maintain the same high standard and quality with this his second novel and he most certainly has. It's a wonderful story, beautifully written - the characters are three dimensional and I really cared what was happening to them. A fairly long listen at a shade over 14 hours I loved every minute of it. Robert Slade's narration was perfect - just wished I hadn't finished it now.

Well read story a good follow up from Joel Dicker
I enjoyed this book, its the second from Joel Dicker but you don't need to have read the first one to catch up. This story is well read by the narrator and was one of those audio books that i was surprised how quick I got trough it.

OK follow up to Harry Quebert Affair but lacking
Any additional comments?
The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair had a bit more of a mystery about it and an interesting format. This is a good character study but isn't quite as gripping albeit well written. Try Harry Quebert first, then try this if you want a more sedate book
