Summary
Poppy Maysen carries a journal in her purse. Its pages were filled long ago by a man who craved adventure, lived life to the fullest, and never failed to make her laugh. The journal is his birthday list - one she vows to complete.
She'll do the things he wanted to do most. Because maybe, just maybe, if she can finish his list, she can start to live again.
Poppy expects going through the birthday list will be hard. She expects it to hurt. But what she doesn't expect is Cole. Could the man who watched her heart shatter be the one to put it back together again?

Heartwarming and comforting
This was a heartwarming and comforting story of overcoming grief and second chances.
Devney’s writing always comes across well and I enjoyed the unique plot and premise of the Birthday list. I really liked how she tied in the side plot about Belle too.
I always love the old characters in small town romances. They add charm and humour to the story.
Overall, an enjoyable listen.

Uplifting Story
“Do you know what I like best about New Year’s Day?” she whispered. “What?” “Everyone gets a new beginning.”
A bit of a late post but I wanted to review while it was fresh in my mind.
So this was my reaction when I finished this audio earlier today. The Birthday List by @devneyperry is one I’ve been wanting to read for a good while now and I saw that it was included in my audio membership. You haven’t seen someone download an audio so quickly lol
I kind of went in blind, which is sometimes a good thing, especially with stories like this. I had heard it was emotional, and boy it was…but equally very uplifting, positive and heartwarming.
Poppy Maysen is grieving and we follow her on her journey on how she deals with her grief and how she moves forward.
Cole Goodman enters Poppy’s life at that most pivotal and heartbreaking moment of her life. It’s full coincidence that he meets Poppy again years later and he is the one that helps her move forward, guided by a very special list 📓
This is a slow burn romance, but it was the right pace for Poppy and what she’s been dealing with. Cole was just so wonderful, patient, the perfect gentleman.
There’s was some great secondary characters too; Randall and Jimmy giving us some fun loving humour, bless them. I’m looking forward finding out more about Finn and Molly in their own story, Letters To Molly. That will be my next audio read.
First time listening to Jeremy York and Melissa Moran, it took me a couple of chapters to get used to their tones, but I have to say they were both exceptional and really engaging.
The Birthday List is definitely one of those stories that will stay with me forever. It’s a beautiful story of hope and new beginnings.
