Summary

Did ancient Gods like Odin and Zeus and Thor once really exist?

The time has come for a grand adventure filled with high excitement and explosive action.

Matt Drake, a retired SAS officer, must unravel a mystery older than time in his search for the Nine Pieces of Odin. Though scattered aeons ago, it is believed that once the Pieces are reunited they will show the way to the Tomb of the Gods - the greatest archaeological find of all time.

From a rocket attack on the Louvre to a battle in a Swedish cavern, from a daring helicopter raid on New York's National History Museum to an assault on a gangsters mansion in Hawaii, Matt Drake must find the world's oldest treasure in one of the wildest places on earth, searching for the very bones of the gods with the spoils of victory being the entire world.

Excellent

Would you listen to The Bones of Odin again? Why?

One of my favourite authors, this is the first in a series of 9 and I have read all of them more than once. I love reading but audiobooks allow you to multi task, also as it is whisper sync you can swap from audio to book without losing your place.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Alicia Myles is my favourite character because she is so over the top, although Drake and Dahl are a very close joint second.

What about Nigel Patterson’s performance did you like?

Nigel Patterson is a clear narrator, easy to understand and distinguishes well between the different characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Given the time I could sit and listen to the entire book in one go, ideal for long journeys.

Any additional comments?

I am looking forward to the rest of David Leadbeaters' books being translated into audio format.

A great beginning

I've been a fan of the Matt Drake books for a while and recently got into Audible so i thought I'd give an old favourite a try, i wasn't disappointed. Nigel Patterson narration captures the tones and pace of the book and does great justice to the Leadbeater's work. This is a great start to a new format of the series
