Featuring Simon Kernick's maverick detective, Tina Boyd, this is the gripping new race-against-time thriller by the best-selling author of Relentless, The Last 10 Seconds and Stay Alive.
'It's night, and I'm in a strange house. The lights are on and I'm standing outside a half-open door. Feeling a terrible sense of foreboding, I walk slowly inside. And then I see her. A woman lying sprawled across a huge double bed. She's dead. There's blood everywhere. And the most terrifying thing of all is that I think her killer might be me ...'
A traumatic car-crash. A man with no memory, haunted by nightmares. When the past comes calling in the most terrifying way imaginable, Matt Barron is forced to turn to the one person who can help. Ex Met cop, turned private detective, Tina Boyd. Soon they are both on the run.....

Great Read
I love Simon Kernick books. Great plots and non stop action which keep you hooked. I also like the way he portrays his characters who you are familiar with from previous stories. If you like thrillers you will like this

Superb from Simon Kernick yet again
Once again Simon Kernick pulls out all the stops with this novel. Everything you come to expect from his writing is here in bucket loads. Paul Thornley brings the whole thing to life in vivid detail keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout. You don't want to stop listening once you start. Wonderful book.

Willed the hero to succeed.
Took me a while to get into it but when I did I was shouting aloud at the narrator to help the victims.

A little slow but did get there in the end
Sluggish at the beginning but worth the perseverance.
The narration was fine but the story line did lack a little cohesion.

great story
well thought out.
only the narration was a bit off in a few places, ie.the drama in his voice was overstated in some places creating highlights where the text didn't but overall good

BRILLIANT
I've not listened to any of Simon Kernick books before, but I will be from now on! This story gripped me from the start & Paul Thornley certainly brought the book to life... I like him as a narrator & have listened to other books told by him.
This story gripped me from the start & I really didn't expect the ending it had...
I'm off to find more books by this author...!

Exciting Story
I've read lots of these books by Simon Kernick. I am now a fan. Paul Thornley is the master of narration of these books and books for other authors. The suspense starts in chapter 1 and continues to the end.
