Summary

Take your gamification efforts to the next level.

When The Economist covered Kevin Werbach and Dan Hunter's new book For the Win in 2012, they referred to gamification as a "management craze". Since then, gamification has proved to be much more than a fleeting fad: It is a global movement. For the Win has been published globally in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish, and more than a quarter of a million people have taken Werbach's gamification course on Coursera.

Now, in their new audiobook The Gamification Toolkit, Werbach and Hunter go deeper into the key game elements and provide you with the tools to take gamification to the next level. This brief but comprehensive book is a user's guide to help you build a game - for the win.

Gildan Media is proud to bring you another Wharton Digital Press Audiobook. These notable audiobooks contain the essential tools that can be applied to every facet of your career.

mixed feelings

first, this is complimentary to "For the Win", from the same authors, and i would not call this a standalone book, more like an add-on. since this was included for me with the membership, that was ok, and what it did was to give me some quick information, from which i can decide if i wish to go read more about the subject of gamification.
my opinion is that the efficacy of the theory of gamification is real, but only sometimes ethical. nonetheless, the book only talks about this being a good way to up-level a business/product, and they are right. gamification does work.

The first audiobook that I've rather not bought

The whole thing is basically an ad for their other book. The content besides references to the other book is insufficient and mostly examples telling you that "Hey, someone else did some gamification. You probably only care about his name!"
