Another Julia Donaldson favorite!

As the Gruffalo books are such a hit with my two year old niece, I downloaded this audio book for her to listen to in the car. This sequel to "The Gruffalo" is an absolute winner...the words and story are so clever that even adults reading it for the first time are enthralled. My usually crazy-energetic niece sat quietly for 15 minutes with big eyes while she listened to it. We love the Gruffalo much that I've put together a Gruffalo puppet show based on this story and the first one to do at my niece's third birthday party!

My 2 year old loved it

This helped my 2 year old relax and fall asleep easier. She loves watching the gruffalo and trying to tell me about the big bad mouse with whiskers tougher than wire

Excellent !!!

Any additional comments?

Great for car journeys, a story that my daughter knows (and loves) that isn't too painful to listen to (unlike Peppa Pig :-)).

Well read by Imelda Staunton, nice work getting into the characters. My daughter loves listening to this and following it through the book - just like reading all by herself ! The story is lovely but not so sure about the song at the end, though I'm sure the more it's listened to the easier it would be to sing-a-long

Wonderful childrens tale

My daughter requests to listen to this all the time, in the car and in bed. The narration by Imelda Staunton is brilliant at bringing out the story without the aid of the pictures.
