Simply Fantastic....!

I put The Hanged Man on pre-order having finished the superb The Bone Field. As the second part of this brilliant murder mystery/chase, I wondered whether it could live up to the first instalment. I was certainly not let disappointed.
I can't recommend this one enough. Make sure you listen to The Bone Field first though, the story won't be the same otherwise!

Bit disappointed!

I didn’t find this book as compelling as the previous ones and actually listened to others in between!
I almost felt that the author had also got bored with the story and just ended it...will this be the last of Ray Mason?
Brilliant narration as usual by Paul Thornley

Great addition to the bone field series,

Not one of Kernicks best but a good fix for any fans out there and a good continuation of the bone field series, Ray Mason is a great new character and worth following for sure

Gripping

This one was worth every penny. Damn it though, this had better be a trilogy.

Umm ... huh . . .wha?

Started off well, had some great twists, spluttered a bit then petered out after spoiling it's own ending. It doesn't provide any sort of closure on the previous book in the series and consequently fails to stand up as a book in it's own right.

If you imagine watching a version of Empire Strikes Back where Luke Skywalker inadvertently reveals who his father is about half way through the film you'll be close experiencing the same level of disappointing anticlimax I felt listening to this.

Sorry but if you're going to spoil your own ending at least make the end of the book worth persevering for.
