Takes you for a ride!
The setting of this book is what caught my eye at first. Being a romantic suspense listener, I couldn't wait to see how Nicole Garcia wrapped a reality show into this novella. Stay in the house overnight and be the only one left in the house and you win $1 million! Doesn't sound that hard, but from the start, there is mystery and intrigue. Jace and Kelly are two that want that money no matter the consequence, but as they see their competitors leave the competition one by one, things get crazy..and they become crazy for each other! With all romance and suspense, this short will keep the you entertained!
Lou Shocken has a wonderfully deep voice and sets the mood for this thriller. He kept the pace, fear and passion going throughout the story.

first. what a fantastic voice Lou has. it is amazing. So deep and good. wow.
I love the whole gameshow host feeling I get from this audio book. I can just see people turn on there tv's to watch this reality show. a pretty sick reality show But people want to be intertained. And hey. if I could get a million $ to enter. I would.
again when it comes to Nicoles books i want more. they are really good and easy to get through. So not the last time I listen to her books.

Good Suspenseful Short Story!
I enjoyed the story line a lot. The mystery was fun, I had no idea what was going on which makes for good suspense. The sex was a little far fetched but was hot regardless! I gave this book 3 stars because there wasn't anything specific that I loved about it and because I can't give 3.5 stars. The characters were fun but the book was too short for me to be able to get attached to them. If this book had been longer I think it would have been a solid 4 star book. It felt a little jam packed for a 2.5 hour audio, there was so much going on so fast that I really had a hard time getting into it and just as I did, it was over. I would have liked to get to know the characters more and would have loved to have the circumstances drawn out more to make it even more suspenseful. The way I felt about this book may also be a result of the narration. Lou Schocken has a great voice and a lot of range but I think he made this book seem a little choppy and he did nothing to help me get attached to the characters.

Interesting little novella
This is an interesting little novella. I wish I could actually give 3.5 stars. The concept of a group of people trying to stay in an alleged haunted house for 24 hours to win a prize, is very reality TV, which is very popular today. It really had some great twists and a great story line. There were strange moments like when everyone was dying around them, our two main characters didn't have any problem getting in the mood to fool around. Yet, even that didn't make me want to put it down. It felt like maybe two things were going on and I wanted to know what was going to happen with both, but the timing was a little strange. I really like the concept and overall story of the book. I almost wonder what it would have been like with a full blown novel or just a little longer to flesh out a few more things. I'm enjoying this author also. I was given this audiobook as an ARC. This is the second book I have listened to from this author and I'm enjoying her. I look forward to more.
Lou Schocken, the narrator, also did a great job. I always worry about male narrators with their female voices. But, he had a good one. And, he also added all the right inflection and feeling of what was happening in the moment.
