This book is only for those that can be brave

I’d read the innovators dilemma first as then this book rally helps ...
I love that it says blindly following successfully companies strategy is akin to watching a bird fly, fabricating wings , then trying hard to flap - or build bigger or lighter wings .... instead this book gives you the strategy to go back to a thing the bird - seeing that its lift that is important and working out how to achieve this - the tools to looking st the job the bird is getting done.

I can apply this to My SOS Family and also corporately -
I was really happy to see words eloquently put to things I do naturally(base on the situations and problems I’ve faced in many corporate organisations) and I wanted to go back and change my LinkedIn summary to include all the lessons I’ve learned from being part of some really big corporate failures or projects that failed .... which I may still do...
You couldn’t shorten this book it’s the perfect size and subject covered - I couldn’t see someone using Blinkist and really understanding the theories - that would be like seeing your kids 1 hour per week - telling them to do their homework , be gentle and kind and them thinking it’s all going to work.... no single tablet makes a fat person thin overnight ....
Although I’m sure there are loads of other books that blinkist will be perfect for as it takes out the authors ego and padding out of those books...
Moony Victoire-Nijjar

If there is a updated version of this book in the future - on the corporate side I’d recommend adding some of the key advice from the book “laws of human nature” or “33 strategies of power” just so the theory come strategy being worked on can be sold into a corporate hierarchy as that can be the biggest blocker rather than capital or resource availability....

5 stars aren't enough

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Brilliant insight into how to create a sustainable and competitive positioning and how to ensure long lasting succes. Vital for any MBA student and serious professional. I have read many articles from Christensen as MBA student but value of book tying it all together is definitely worth it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Innovator's Solution?

Multiple insights throughout the book

Have you listened to any of Joel Leffert’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Not sure if I listened to any other voice overs from Joel but this one was excellent.

Any additional comments?

Highly recommended!

Chapter titles overpromise and under-deliver

Very interesting first few chapters. Unfortunately some controversial arguments don't give convincing proof in theory (and only feel generally appealing from the authors perspective). Chapter titles consistently overpromise and under-deliver. Still interesting read.
