Outstanding perfromances all round

I downloaded this on a whim and never expected to enjoy this so much. The performances bring this classic to life. Something I would happily return to again and again.

A lovely reminder of my youth

As a boy I loved the jungle book. This was a well narrated audio book that brought old memories flooding back. Cannot believe this is available free of charge!

Unbearable hissing noise

While it's a nice touch to add sound effects, it's prohibitive to enjoying the performance in places. Chapter two opens with a hissing background noise, possibly intended to be water. It's not in the background enough though and competes with the narration and performance. Very disappointing.

for 8-10 year olds

Play it to a 5 year old and you'll have fun sleeping on the edge of your bed while the little oppressor sleeping in the middle (taking up space of 2 people) demands that you protect them from scary jungle creatures lurking under theirs.

It's good but heed my warning. It ain't for preschoolers.

Great adaptation of classic book

So much more to the story than the film with beautiful language. My children loved it.
