Summary
A brilliant, hilarious one-off novel in the Skulduggery Pleasant universe, from number-one best-selling author Derek Landy.
This time, the bad guys take the stage. Tanith Low, now possessed by a remnant, recruits a gang of villains – many of whom will be familiar from previous Skulduggery adventures – in order to track down and steal the four God-Killer level weapons that could hurt Darquesse when she eventually emerges. Also on the trail of the weapons is a secret group of Sanctuary sorcerers, and doing his best to keep up and keep Tanith alive is one Mister Ghastly Bespoke.

Interesting
I can't say this book hooked me as much as the main SP books have. However, it does serve as an interesting diversion. Also their are some interesting origin details to give more background to Tanith's character. Personally I don't think the narrator was the best choice. Don't get me wrong, she wasn't bad by any means, just not the best I've heard.

Great story let down by the narration
Great story as always. But the narrator lets it down. She is great, but not suited for this story. She doesn’t bring out the humour and personality of the characters as well as she could.

Great intermediate book
A bit of an interruption in the series of "Skulduggery Pleasant" and it was good. A lot of people have complained that with male-dominated cast, the female narrator didn't really fit, even thought it was done because of the story being told from the point of view of Tanith Low. I must say, it did not irritate me at all. I thought it all fitted rather well and that the female narrator did a great job. The book is full of dry humour, action and plot twists, characteristic to Derek Landy. So hold on to your hats and if you haven't tried yet to listen to the Skulduggery Pleasant series, then you are missing out!

The Narrator's attempts at accents was distracting
This was an amazing story, read very poorly. This is possibly the best book of the Skulduggery group. The dialogue had me laughing out loud. The surprises kept coming, right to the last sentence. The Narrating was amateur.

Amazing narrator and overall great book.
loved it. really like the spinoff from the series that gives you more depth into the story. the narrator is really good at making each voice sound unique. 😊
