brilliant book.
Really enjoyed this much better than the movie. We need more aliens and predator books.

More entertaining than the film was.
Probably a better production and more entertaining than the film itself.
Not a great story but good enough audio performance.

Starkly average.
It was okay. Very close to the film, which is disappointing as books are usually s lot better.

Wish I hadn't seen the film
This makes a few important changes from the film. No ridiculous suit. No predator that's trying to save us (whilst also killing everything in its path! ).
Frankly, this is a better story. But, unfortunately, if you've seen the film already then you just can't experience it in the same way. The 'surprises' aren't surprises. Still a good book. But, best to watch the film afterwards.

A better final act than the movie....
Im looking forward to watching the movie again. I think Black messed the final act up in comparison to the book, especially the death of a couple of characters and the final scenes. In fact overall the book just flowed better and I enjoyed it more than the movie since it fleshed out the characters, which of course a book can do easier than a film. The film could have had an extra 15 minutes added to fill in some glaring blanks. The constant references to dogs made more sense here. In the film it made no sense as it was missing key scenes. Overall its not as bad as some critics and fans have said and I enjoyed the listen but id say its not for everyone.

Meh
It's OK but not much more than that, if you're in to the aliens vs predators films and books. For one I hope the film is better!

A decent outing for The Predator franchise
This was a decent novelisation that left me wanting to watch the film. It has film-like predictability and simplicity in its design but moves along to its conclusion at a respectable pace with plenty of action and set pieces.
The Predator dog was an interesting idea, and it will intriguing to see how this plays out in the film - is it comedic or frightening in its presentation? Always assuming it has been included.
The Predator feels true to the zeitgeist of the original film, and is a worthy addition to the canon, although trades high-octane for the brooding shock factor. When I finally see the film, I will find out.

Hm
This was really enjoyable.
It was interesting to get to know what the kid was thinking.
One thing. What happened to the epilogue?
I was curious about the armor they found in the movie, hoping that we would get some more info in the book.

LOVED THIS
Say what you like, this was a thoroughly enjoyable listen. There are lots of holes in the story line which don't fit in with the whole predator premiss. Nevertheless you can enjoy this completely.
Sit back and just enjoy the ride
