Summary

A hilarious, straight-talking listen for fans of Fiona Neill and Gill Hornby's The Hive.

Feisty Maia Etxeleku is a cleaner for ladies who lunch. She spends her life wiping up spilt Sauvignon and hoovering around handbags before rushing back home to skivvy after her children's feckless father on an estate where survival depends on your ability to look the other way. But an unusual inheritance catapults her into a different world where no child can survive without organic apricots and Kumon maths classes - and no woman can contemplate a week without Pilates and pedicures.

As she blunders through a middle-class minefield, dashing from coffee mornings to her mops and buckets, she is drawn to the one man who can help her family fit in. But is his interest in her purely professional or will her modern My Fair Lady experiment end in disaster?

Fabulous, leaves you wanting more

I have over 300 books in my audible library and this is the first time I’ve been compelled to write a review. I loved this book, I did not spot the twist, I thought the ending was lovely and it left me wanting more. Thank you Kerry Fisher

Absolutely brilliant

This was a lovely uncomplicated, funny, sad and happy story.
Brilliant narration, great storyline, no dragging out of the tale.
It made me laugh out loud at times. Then again, the truth of how some people behave left me thinking ‘I know a person like that’.
I hope you enjoy as much as I did.

Another great book from Kerry Fisher.

Loved it, struggled to put it down.
There is definitely is a sequel to this story screaming to be written.
The characters were strong and identifiable, giving that feel good factor of familiarity. Thanks Kerry x

Rags to riches..good listen

Loved this book, it made me laugh out loud especially Clover who is so believable and lovely.
The plot was good, I think it was obvious what the ending would be but the turns on getting there were enjoyable. The kids were portrayed really well. Well worth a listen
