Aged badly
For someone with some science knowledge, and who read a little bit of SF, stories were mostly boring and predictable. May be ok for kids, but any Star Trek episode beats any of these stories.

Mind Expanding!
I always found Science Fiction literature difficult to get into. I tried to read the first book of Asimov’s Foundation series & Mute by Piers Anthony but after listing to Andy Weirs The Martian read by Will Wheaton, I thought I’d try again. I’m so glad I did.
The concepts, theories & imaginative ideas in these stories have made me think, laugh, cry & view our current perceived reality with new wonder.
The readers of each story really give life & empathy to whatever subject I’s being read. I’ll definitely be buying the other two volumes.
The future certainly is the undiscovered country.

Superlative science fiction engagingly read. A diverse collection of stories that are entertaining and thought prokoking. There are no duds and a lot of gems!

a few diamonds in the rough
many of these stories are harrowing without much meaning or philosophy behind them that I could find. whilst there are some that are wonderful (e.g. Flowers for Algernon) most were a pain to get through. I can only assume the idea of a short science fiction every year is slight too restraining for every year to have something amazing.

Brilliant production
These stories were part of my early adult years. It has been like a time machine listening to them, taking me back to the mid 1960's. The stories are clearly laid out (do not forget to down load the pdf) and the narrators are very, very good. Some stories have not worn as well as others but they are still worth listening to.

Unexpected pleasure.
Having been "brainwashed" by the Special Effects of the late 20th century, it was WONDERFUL to immerse myself in the Pure Imagination of these Authors.
I am now looking for the next volume.

Something missing...
I can't put my finger on why i really didn't enjoy this book! Some of the story's are good but because they start midway through, there difficult too follow. Not the most enjoyable book i have listened too.
