Amazing and totally consuming
Any additional comments?
This is the third book in the sniper series with these perfectly believable characters. They are not supermen and come packed full of personal flaws, just like everyone in the real world. That makes them so much more embraceable and therefor the story so much more believable. Here, the main character, Gil Shannon, a former SEAL Sniper now contracted to the CIA, is chasing a terror mastermind and at the same time engaging a former Russian Spetsnaz sniper and his team, that have turned mercenary and work for the terrorist. Sniper vs Sniper is a rare and deadly contest in the real world, and this story demonstrates why.
The reader is absolutely perfect, offering very subtle nuanced voices to the characters, but makes no attempts and ridiculous female voices and foreign dialects. In short, he reads, and adds to the story rather than acting and detracting from it. The story itself is so well written, the timing and description so perfect, I repeatedly had to remind myself to listen to the story, but to get on with whatever I was doing while listening. Fast paced and believable action is non-stop making mental visualization a constant. The only warning is that graphic descriptions of wounds and violence may make you cringe...and make most men grab their crotch... at least once or twice.

Sniper against sniper! A great action thriller!
Gil Shannon is the protagonist of this action thriller series. The Sniper and the Wolf is Book 3. Book 4, not yet available for preorder at Audible (but it certainly will be), will be titled Ghost Sniper and released on July 12, 2016.
Scott McEwen coauthored Chris Kyle's autobiography American Sniper before moving to his fictional Sniper Elite series.
There is a lot of action and suspense packed into this fast moving 10 hour novel as Gil Shannon takes on the Wolf, a Chechen terrorist sniper.
I highly recommend this book and all others that Scott McEwen has coauthored.
