Simplistic stories with bad acting

These stories are more simplistic info dumps than actual stories, with flat characters who are badly voiced. It does not hold up to the TV show greats.

Great story. Did not work well as a radio drama.

A simple story can be a good thing, if it's done right. This one sadly did not translate well to the radio drama format. It probably worked better as a TV-episode in the1960 cold war era, when it was first aired. The fear of the protagonists does not come across well as a radio drama more than 50 years later.

Too bad, since the story is very, very good.
