Summary

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Book One in the TimeRiders series, read by Trevor White.

Liam O'Connor should have died at sea in 1912. Maddy Carter should have died on a plane in 2010. Sal Vikram should have died in a fire in 2029. Yet moments before death, someone mysteriously appeared and said, "Take my hand..."; But Liam, Maddy and Sal aren't rescued. They are recruited by an agency that no one knows exists, with only one purpose - to fix broken history. Because time travel is here, and there are those who would go back in time and change the past.

That's why the TimeRiders exist: to protect us. To stop time travel from destroying the world...

Great

Really first class. The narration was excellent. The story… Don't really know what to say. There is so much to explain. Just get it, okay.I have all the other books on audio in this series, courtesy of a reckless spending spree this Christmas, but I don't regret it now. I can't wait to hear the second book in the series and all the others. I don't know how it is going to go but I cannot wait. And anyone whe isn't in to sci-fi, I'm not into sci-fi, I tend to go for YAa realistic fiction, like geography club and Rebecca Donovan and the fault in our stars, it is really Blew me away. I know I sound extra cheesy, but it's all warranted. Get this book

Pretty good

As the headline states it was a pretty good audio book. The narrator is spot on and consistent with his characters voices. the story is good for what it is.

Good performance

Having read the series I was interested in how it would sound in audio, I wasn’t disappointed at all.
A gripping story that rattled through at a great pace. Will definitely be getting the rest of the series now.

Enjoyable read

What did you like most about TimeRiders (Book 1)?

I am now on the 5th book in the series and I find them very enjoyable...But I can not figure out what exactly makes these books so good. One thing that does annoy me is the stupid bursts of music that add nothing to the story! Technically this is a book and having these annoying bursts just interrupts.
The books are very well written and have some good humour, the narrater does a fantastic job and is able to bring the characters alive.
Time travel is a hard subject to tackle, while the writer manages to avoid the paradoxes he kind of skips over a few minefields with out explanation, you can choose to ignore these and it does not detract too much from the story.I would say this makes the book available to all ages but may annoy the more hardcore sci fi fan .I would give this one a try and see if you get pulled into this world like I have been.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Bob was an amusing character, a child like killing machine that grows into something more.

What does Trevor White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Trevor white made these characters come alive

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

One moment in time could change everything.

Any additional comments?

Give this a go, I took a chance and now I'm hooked.

Great story

great story, I'm glad I can't across the series. I've already purchased and downloaded the next 3 books and look forward to listening to them.
unlike the other teen books, this has you gripped from the beginning. it doesn't waste time with the science fiction jargon, but keeps you centered on the story. a great story narrated but a very talented person.
