Summary

A good read
This is an enjoyable book that held my interest throughout. My only reservation about the performance is that the reading is a little too fast, which affects the pronunciation in places. I think a more measured pace would have provided a more relaxed and satisfying listening experience. On the whole though; a good buy.

This is my first book by Anne Perry- Bravo
This is my first book by Anne Perry and I’m very impressed. The book was a rollercoaster plot that never dipped or waned and the characters were beautifully bought to life by Simon Scardifield and his amazing narration.
What a winning team!! Am immediately off to download the next one ;-)

Very Enjoyable
I was doubtful about this book because the dreadful narration ruins so many of the Thomas Pitt books. Thankfully this book was well read with an interesting plot and well drawn characters. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Good story, shame about the narrator
I have long been an admirer of Ms Perry’s books and, until now, have enjoyed both reading and listening to them. However, although this was a good story it was spoilt for me by the speed in which the narrator read it. Sometimes so quickly that words stumbled over each other. Indeed, I had to continually rewind the story to catch what had been said. I will not purchase another book read by this narrator.

Dreadful narration.
An interesting story continuing the tales of the Pitt family. Sadly marred by the terrible narration from Simon Scardifield. He reads far too fast and with little acknowledgement of the words he is reading. Quite dreadful.
I will certainly avoid his narration for future books.
