Summary

Imagine a sisterhood across all creeds and cultures. An unspoken agreement that we, as women, will support and encourage one another. That we will remember we don't know what struggles each of us may be facing elsewhere in our lives, and so we will assume that each of us is doing our best....

So begins We: an inspiring, empowering and provocative manifesto for change. Change which we can all effect, one woman at a time. Change which provides a crucial and timely antidote to the 'have it all' Superwoman culture and instead focusses on what will make each and every one of us happier and more free. Change which provides an answer to the nagging sense of 'is that it?' that almost all of us can succumb to when we wake in the dead of night.

Written by actress Gillian Anderson and journalist Jennifer Nadel - two friends who for the last decade have stumbled along together, learning, failing, crying, laughing and trying again - We is a not a theoretical treatise but instead a rallying cry to create a life that has greater meaning and purpose. Combining tools which are practical, psychological and spiritual, it is both a process and a vision for a more fulfilling way of living. And a truly inspiring vision of a happier, more emotionally rewarding future we can all create together.

Brilliant!

loved this book, I've always been a huge fan of gillian anderson and was not disappointed. I feel this book has changed my perception of the world for the better. it has given me courage above all else. I recommend this book to "women everywhere" I think everyone can relate to the feelings described and it's explained how to change those negative feelings that we all have.

We: A Manifesto for Women.

Awful. Horrible, horrible, horrible book. Listening to this bullshit tempted me to take a hammer to my kindle. The worst cod, pseudo-science bollocks that's ever been committed to print. If I could I'd post minus stars.

The Feeling of We

The feeling of reading this book, is not immediate ease, but a sense of relief. As women, we spend our whole lives suppressed by the conditions of inequality. The first stage of recovery, is recognition. Here not only do they outline the extent of the crimes, the present the solution in 9 Principles that equally serve as a robust survival guide.

Important, for women and the world

Essential reading for every female, whether you have been through trauma or just the ‘average’ issues or woes that can too often be glossed over as commonplace.
This is making the world a better place, starting from within each of us.
Find and achieve joy, inspiration and power, in a clear and practical way.
It should be put into the curriculum.
I hope it & the authors get the recognition they deserve, but sadly it may take years.
So read now and never look back!!
