fascinating look at family research.
if you like family history you will enjoy this, it covers the pitfalls and the triumphs of investigating old records for clues about your family.
Did find some of it hard work to listen to as the narrator was quite stilted at times.

Interesting listen
I had never heard of the term passing but had known of people doing that even in my own family. It’s time for people to accept one another for who they are people not colours!

A woman's journey into family history
This story was really interesting, filled with personal thoughts and discoveries and information about the history. The reader made it sound like it was read by the author herself, and I would love to listen to more audiobooks read ny her. The only thing I did not quite get was why at some point there were also some imaginary letters to evoke what people might have written. Even so I really liked the way this journey into family history was narrated and how she told her feelings along the road. It all felt very honest.
