Summary
Top neurosurgeon Samantha Thomson needs to get married fast and is tightlipped as to why. And with over $200,000 on offer to tie the knot, no questions asked, cash-strapped ER nurse Hayden Perez isn't about to demand answers.
The deal is only for a year of marriage, but Hayden's going into it knowing it will be a nightmare. Sam is complicated, rude, kind of cold, and someone Hayden barely tolerates at work, let alone wants to marry. The hardest part is that Hayden has to convince everyone around them that they're madly in love and that racing down the aisle together is all they've ever wanted.

well written, funny, touching, loved it!
loved this! the characters are believable and the story rattles along. It's well written and insightful and had me both laughing out loud and tearful at times. all the characters are well drawn and I was more than happy to spend time in their company and now I've finished it, I'm a bit gutted this is the only G Benson book Audible have. more please!!
oh, and the reader is great IMHO; actually seemed engaged in what they were reading and enhanced the whole experience. kudos all round!! ;-)

Rich, Lol Fake to Real romance
Phenomenal characterisation as lovable klutz Hayden and precise neurosurgeon Samantha get together in opposites attract romance. The clever dialogue and internal meanderings of Hayden translate brilliantly to the Audible medium. Brought to life by Tanya Eby's talented narration. There is plenty of pathos and thought provoking content too, as the couples (Fake marriage to real romance and non-binary Luce With coffee girl Clemmie) negotiate the hazards of family, tragedy, gender and the true weirdness of hospital night/day swing shifts. Here is a powerful love story told with compassion and skill. If you're using headphones on public transport prepare for stares as there are laugh out loud moments as f/f romance crosses with Bridget Jones humour. Cat people will read this just to meet Frank who probably has his own fictional cat fan club. If you like this try Robin Alexander's comedic romances and Camryn Edes' The woman upstairs'. .😂 Enjoy!

Very enjoyable!
Any additional comments?
I enjoy G Benson's books. "Who'd Have Thought" is a great example of the author's easy to dip into, yet well-structured lesbian fiction page turners with a medical backdrop. Her characters are real, have their own strengths, weaknesses and the storylines she writes are engaging. And who doesn't enjoy some old-fashioned happy soppiness? The audio version of this popular novel, successfully narrated by Tanya Eby, simply adds an extra dimension of enjoyment. I hope G Benson's "Flinging It" gets the audio treatment and soon!

Good spin on story line
I’ve read a number of books with the ‘pretend marriage/ engaged/dating thing but this was a great take on that theme. The characters were likeable and I do enjoy a hospital based romance.

Good narrator
I like the way was narrated.
The story itself is okay. Good enough when you don’t want to think and relax.
We enjoyed it while driving.
